Oct 28, 2006 I have a auto reverse cassette player in my chevrolet celebrity. So I bought a cassette adapter to play my mp3 player on and when I put the tape in, I just heard a clicking noise coming from the cassette player and static in my speakers. Then I tried it on a regular stereo cassette player and it worked fine. So is it something wrong with the deck in my car or do I need to keep looking for. Jun 13, 2019 the clicking sound is the mechanism sticking, it thinks the tape has ended. The deck needs to be pulled out and serviced, or replaced with a CD deck. Car cassette decks as a whole are not that reliable, think CD replacement.
Jul 18, 2010 Why does my sound system crackle when I use the tape deck for my iPod? I recently purchased a Charger R/T and it has the AM/FM/CASSETTE/CD (6-disc) radio. Since it doesn't have the auxiliary port like the aftermarket stereo in my last vehicle, I'm using the attachment for my husband's old XM radio to play the iPod through the tape deck. Aug 15, 2009 It's about +20dB on the low end and about -20dB on the high end, which makes some kind of sense as most pops, crackles, and hiss are on the high end; so you'd want to record an album with the inverse of that curve to emphasize the actual music at the high end so it can overcome the expected pops and hisses. Sep 30, 2013 Nice inexpensive deck, very clean, crisp playback. Unfortunately the left channel in record mode makes crackling sound. If possible I would like to try and f.
